Is it cheaper to book directly or through Laterooms.com?
If you book with us directly in advance, you'll get the best
price. The Laterooms rate only includes bed and breakfast, whereas
rooms booked directly includes free chidcare for 2 - 12 year olds
and often include dinner too.
What are the different room types?
For single guests and couples, we've standard rooms (although
they're anything but 'standard'), Executive rooms and our
extra-special Leigh Signature rooms.
If there are more of you, our Family rooms have a double and a
single bed (so can sleep up to three people), while Family Suites
and Studios sleep up to six.
Finally, our broad range of self-catering holiday cottages
and chalets allow two to 16 people to eat, relax and sleep in
their own space.
Will there be a fridge in my room?
If you're in an Executive room, yes. If not, we're happy to
refrigerate food or drinks for you.
How can I keep milk or baby food cold?
See above.
Do you provide cots?
Yes, absolutely, and there's no extra charge. If you book
online, choose the option to include a cot; or contact us directly
and we'll arrange it. Remember to bring along bedding for your
cot.
What meals are included?
All of our hotel room rates include a full Scottish breakfast in
the Meikle Restaurant (from 7.30am). If you're staying on a dinner,
bed & breakfast rate, this includes table d'hôte dinner in the
Meikle Restaurant, or you can choose to dine in the Brasserie,
Murraypark Hotel or Clubhouse where your dinner allowance of
£21.50pp will be subtracted from the bill.
Self-catering and bed & breakfast guests are more than
welcome to enjoy dinner in any restaurant and pay as they go.
Can you cater for different dietary needs?
Our restaurants currently offer both vegetarian and gluten free
menu options, and our chefs are open to adapting dishes for various
dietary requirements. Just ask when you book or arrive at the
restaurant.
What about children's meals?
You'll find children's menus in the Meikle, Brasserie,
Murraypark and Clubhouse, as well as a children's self-service High
Tea in the Brasserie from 4.30pm to 6pm (daily). Lunch boxes,
sandwiches and snacks are available in the Winter Garden and the
Hub - which also stocks baby food.
In terms of 'inclusive' children's meal allocations, there are
two age categories.
The 0-12s receive a £3.50 lunch allowance, which can be put
towards a menu option or covers the cost of a packed lunch from the
Winter Garden. Those attending an evening session at BIG Country
childcare will enjoy dinner at the High Tea buffet beforehand.
Those aged 13-16 receive a full adult dinner allocation of
£21.50, to be used in a restaurant of your choice. There's no lunch
allowance for this age group.

Can I heat my baby's milk/food?
For milk and drinks, you're welcome to borrow a bottle warmer
from Reception. For anything else, just ask - our chefs are happy
to warm baby food on request.
Do you have high chairs?
Yes, you'll find them in all our restaurants and self-catering
accommodation.
Where are the baby changing facilities?
You'll find baby changing rooms or tables in the Brasserie, the
Hub, BIG Country and on the Ground Floor of the hotel. We can give
you a changing mat for your room too; just ask at Reception.
Where do I park?
You're welcome to drive right to the front of the hotel and use
our drop-off parking service. Alternatively, there's parking near
Melville Hall, in the West Car Park and West Lodge Car Park - next
to the Leisure Club entrance. Spaces for disabled badge holders are
located to the left (east) of reception.
Cars parked at the hotel are done so at the owner's risk.
Can I drop off my bags at the front door?
Yes, of course. Our porters are here to help with your luggage
on arrival, and can store it for you before departure.
Where do I check in for self-catering?
Come to the main hotel reception and we'll get you settled in.
The usual check-in for self-catering accommodation is 4pm, but if
you arrive earlier you're welcome to store your bags and use the
hotel's facilities.
When does your reception close?
It doesn't. You can call us 24 hours a day on 01764 655555.
Can I buy milk?
Yes, milk is available to take away from the Winter Garden
cafe.
How do I book activities?
Throughout our 900-acre estate you'll find over 60 activities
for adults and children of all ages and interests. Horse riding to
quad biking, archery to cycling, you can browse our 60+ activities
with our activity
finder and book or enquire using the online forms.
Is there childcare available?
Yes, and kids love it. Our BIG Country childcare centre offers
up to six hours of complimentary group childcare each day for
children aged 2-12. During this time, children can enjoy a number
of fun and educational tasks with the help of our fully-qualified
staff.

Where can I leave a buggy?
We're happy to store buggies at reception.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel and the
majority of our self-catering units. Reception will provide you
with a login to access the free service option upon
arrival. You can also upgrade your connection speed if
required by buying additional vouchers from the Reception
desk.
Are there any child-free areas?
Yes. The Victorian Spa (with swimming pool, sauna, steam room
and spa bath) is completely adults-only, and the Meikle bar is
adults only after 8.30pm.
Is the hotel family-friendly?
Absolutely; we pride ourselves on it. Here are just a few of the

What does the hotel offer couples?
If you're after a quiet getaway, we've a range of accommodation
options for couples; including luxury rooms and suites. The hotel
is a great base for day trips to local attractions, or simply relax
in our adults-only Victorian Spa before an intimate dinner in one
of our various restaurants.
What time is check-in/check-out?
Check-in is 2pm for hotel guests and 4pm for self-catering
guests, although you're welcome to use the resort's facilities from
9am on your arrival day until 5pm on your departure day. Check-out
is 11am for hotel guests and 10am for self-catering guests.

Can I bring my dog?
Eight self-service kennels are available for hire, while some of
our Executive Studios and self-catering cottages are dog-friendly
too. A small cleaning supplement will be required for

What's the difference between a standard and executive
room?
Executive rooms have a little more space and additional extras
such as mineral water, a range of toiletries, free morning paper,
DVD player and mini cooler.
What's the best accommodation for families?
We've spacious family and interconnecting rooms that sleep up to
6 people, as well as self-catering accommodation sleeping up to
eight or 16 (interconnecting). Stair gates, Cots, high chairs and
changing mats are all available at no extra cost.
Is there a dress code?
No, not as a rule. The hotel's a relaxed, informal place, so we
don't expect guests to overdress. However, if you're looking for an
excuse to dress up, you won't feel out of place in the
ever-so-slightly formal Meikle restaurant and bar.
Is there disabled access?
Yes. And when we say it, we mean it.
Hotel and room access
The main hotel meets Visit Scotland's Grade 3 accessibility
standards from the moment you arrive. Drop-off parking means you
can arrive right at the hotel's main entrance, and four internal
lifts allow guests access to all our rooms and leisure
facilities.
Adapted ground-floor bedrooms are situated close to a private,
wheelchair-accessible bathroom, and we also offer a choice of
accessible family accommodation.
Self-catering access
Located next to the main hotel near the Golf Course, Abercairney
Cottage is five-star self-catering accommodation that meets Visit
Scotland's Grade 1 accessibility standards. Wheelchair users have
comfortable access to all public spaces, including the open-plan
living area and outdoor deck. There is one wheelchair-accessible
en-suite bedroom, with a hoist to aid travel from bed to
bathroom.
Dining access
All of our restaurants and dining areas are spacious and offer
good manoeuvrability. Each can be easily accessed via our
wheelchair lifts and has specifically-adapted toilet facilities
nearby.
