It's a grand old room (with a suitably grand
name). But the food and drink is refreshingly simple
and hearty - just what you'd expect from a quality Scottish
restaurant.
In the morning, it's the perfect sunny spot to soak up the
newspapers over a pot of tea. Lunch sees hungry kids fill up on packed
lunches, while mum and dad choose from homemade soups, sandwiches
and salads.
And to think, only a few hours ago, you couldn't possibly have
fitted in another morsel after breakfast.
Afternoon? Well, what better place to take a spot of afternoon
tea - and one of those rather nice looking scones staring at you
from the counter? It's also great for stocking up on refreshments
after a burl around the ballroom during our legendary Ceilidhs.
