We have an exciting opportunity that has arisen for an IT
Support Assistant whose primary role will be to make sure the IT
function for all our conferences runs very smoothly. This is
a brand new role for us though and in addition to conference
support, you'll find you've plenty of opportunity to get involved
and develop your skills in a number of our different IT
About the role
We are looking to continually delight our customers and with a
growing number of conferences with diverse IT requirements, we want
you to make sure their experience is as efficient and seamless as
With a good mix of IT and customer service skills, you'll be the
IT point of contact for our conference business. This will
involve checking future conference requirements, ordering in
specialist equipment if necessary, then carrying out and checking
set ups are working.
On the day of the conference business, you'll meet and greet
organisers and check to make sure everything is in order with their
IT requirements, tweaking systems if necessary.
As part of our existing IT department, you will also assist
internal staff through desktop support and be a point of contact
for troubleshooting and general IT issues. We have a very
busy IT infrastructure and are continually looking at new and best
practice IT systems. Join us and you can be sure that no two

What you'll need
The successful applicant will have a working knowledge of
desktop operating systems and the Microsoft office suite, AV
equipment set up and general WIFI set up. With good customer
service and communication skills, you'll also be polite, helpful
and will be able to work logically and quickly to get answers and
solutions to any IT problems.
You must be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the
business, including some weekend working to make sure you're in on
