We know relocating for work can be daunting,
especially when you don't know the area. But don't worry, Crieff's
a friendly community. And with so many local people working at the
hotel, you'll be spotting familiar faces in no time.
The town itself is fairly small (around 7,000 people), but it's
got everything you'll need. Banks, supermarkets, dentist, doctors -
you won't ever have to go far. And if you've time for a stroll
there are some lovely shops, bars and restaurants in the town
centre.
For those who prefer city life, Perth and Stirling are roughly
20 miles away, and the hotel's around an hour's drive from Glasgow
and Edinburgh. So you can be in the countryside in the morning,
capital city in the evening. Sounds like a pretty good day, don't
you think?
Living at the hotel
Around 130 people who work at Crieff Hydro also live here, in
our fully-furnished staff accommodation. If you haven't lived on a
resort before, think of a campus-style community just a few minutes
from the hotel. (Some of the accommodation is a little further out,
but not far.)
If you choose to 'live in', you can opt for a single, double or
twin room (some rooms are en-suite), or a larger shared house. The
weekly charge varies depending on the type of accommodation, but
all rates include heating, lighting and three hearty meals a day in
the staff dining hall.
What it's really like
Some employers cringe at the thought of publishing staff
members' true thoughts. Not us. We encourage their feedback.
Because if we look after our own people, we know they'll take good
care of our guests. So it's not just the right thing to do; it's
also pretty good for business.
