Terms and conditions

Rates include VAT at the prevailing rate when your booking was made and subject to change without notice.

To make a reservation you must be 18 years old, accept these terms and conditions on behalf of all members of the party and accept responsibility to settle all outstanding balances. 

Booking deposits are either transferrable to another booking or in the case of another reservation not being made non refundable. The final account for your stay must be settled on departure.


Advance Purchase Rates
Full prepayment is required at the time of booking. This payment is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for other reservation dates, accommodation, goods or services.

IF YOU CANCEL
Our Advance Purchase rates are better value than other more flexible rates. One reason for the lower prices is this - if you cancel you will still have to pay and there are no refunds or exchanges, so the only way to get your money back is if you are covered by holiday insurance.
 
Most cancellations are due to unforeseen circumstances of one sort or another which is why we go out of our way to recommend holiday insurance. We won't try and sell you this as many of our customers are already covered on annual trip insurance or through a policy associated with their home policy and there are many deals to be had. The reason we mention it again just now is so that if you do cancel we don't end up in an awkward situation as we like to be fair to all our customers by sticking to the cancellation terms and charges that apply, whatever the circumstances.


Best Available Rates
We don't ask for a deposit so you can pay the full balance of your stay when you arrive.

IF YOU CANCEL
Our Best Available rates offer lots of flexibility allowing cancellations up until 48 hours before you arrive where you can transfer your booking to other available dates. If you choose to cancel after 2pm, 48hours before you are due to arrive then we can't offer an exchange and payment will be taken from your credit card and the only way to get your money back is if you are covered by holiday insurance.

Self Catering Rates
A deposit of 20% of the reservation value will be taken at the time of booking to guarantee your booking. The balance (100% less the 20% deposit) must be paid a minimum of 10 weeks before the arrival date.

If the arrival date is less than 10 weeks from the time of booking then full payment will be taken at the time of booking. Non refundable deposit until 10 weeks in advance and thereafter 100% payment retained upon cancellation charged to the debit/credit card given at time of booking. If cancelled within 10 weeks of arrival, the booking is non transferrable.

We make every possible effort to advise our guests as soon as we are aware of any closure of facilities in or around the resort but please be aware that some facilities may be withdrawn at short notice.


Other terms

Children's lunches are avilable on the day of party arrival only.

Pets are not permitted in the hotel with the exception of guide dogs for the blind or deaf.

Under the Hotel Proprietors Act persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  

Crieff Hydro accepts no liability in the event that any of your personal belongings or those of your party are lost and damaged within the hotel.  In the event that the property of the resort is deliberately or negligently damaged by you or any member of your party you will be fully liable for the repair or replacement of the property in question.   

House rules and policy for the consumption of alcohol to ensure that Crieff Hydro Ltd can operate as a licensed premise , we request all our guests  familiarise themselves  and adhere to our House rules and policy for the sale of alcohol, regulated under the Licensing Act ( Scotland) 2005 and overseen by Perth and Kinross Licensing Board.  These rules are clearly displayed on our website and in all bar areas.
