The Perthshire tourist route
Perthshire is known for its variety of scenery. Experience the scenic glens, rushing waterfalls, hill side lochs and quaint villages dotted throughout the region. Expect stunning scenery with lochs, glens and gorges to explore, on a route that is the perfect contrast to the wilderness of the highlands.
What to see?
The drive to Pitlochry from Crieff is a must, with its hilly views across Sma Glen to the flat plains of the River Tay as the road weaves along its banks. Pitlochry itself is popular stop off point nestled on the banks of the River Tummel and backed by Ben Vrackie its picturesque setting makes it easy to see why. It’s also home to Killiecranke a stunning wooded gorge famous for its beauty as much as its history.
