We’re open – see all COVID updates here.

Spacious bedrooms? Check. Restaurants you can steer a wheelchair through? Absolutely. Woodland paths and epic views for all? You bet. Everyone’s welcome at Crieff Hydro – and we’re always on the lookout for ways to improve accessibility.

Drive right up to the front door

Our easy-access parking couldn’t be closer to the main entrance, and we’ll make sure there’s a spot saved for you. Once you’ve checked in, you can take one of our three lifts up to your floor, or down to the leisure facilities and restaurants.

Need a bit more space? We have ground floor rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms – as well as a range of accessible family rooms. Give us a call and we’ll talk you through the options.

Accessible luxury self-catering

Abercairney Cottage has some of the best views of Crieff – and it’s fully accessible. Swoop through the open-plan living space to the outdoor deck for al-fresco breakfasting, or evening G&Ts. There’s acres of space in the master bedroom, with an en-suite accessible bathroom. We’ve also put a hoist in the bedroom and bathroom, to make life that little bit easier.

There’s plenty of room in all six of our restaurants. You can get to all of them except the lower level of The Terrace using the lifts, and we’ve made it easy for people in wheelchairs to get to the tables. What about the toilets? There are accessible ones near each of the restaurants.

Going to the lower level of The Terrace?
There’s a staircase to the lower level of The Terrace, but you have two other options. You can either enter from outside the hotel or – much more exciting – we can take you on a mystery route through the back of the hotel.

Quiet spaces
Our restaurants get busy at dinner time, so book in advance. Big crowded areas not your thing? Let us know when you book and we’ll find you a quiet table at a quiet time.

We’re specialists at adapting activities to suit your needs. And many of our 60-plus activities are more accessible than you might think, from horse riding and archery to our low ropes course.

Then there’s our 4×4 experience: belt up and we’ll show you what a Land Rover really thinks of rutted tracks, muddy banks and surprisingly deep streams. And if that gives you a taste for off-roading, you can try our two-seater quads: just hold on tight.

Everyone who makes BIG Country happen is fully-qualified, trained and registered to provide fun, educational care. If your child needs specific assistance, get in touch and we’ll do everything we can to make them at home.
