We’ve got some udderly fantastic news to report from what’s becoming quite the animal farm here at Crieff Hydro.
We can officially announce that we’ll have four special guests staying with us for the summer, in the form of two mummy and two mini Highland Cows.
Primmy Sr and Primmy Jr (the yellow coos), and Malda Sr, and Malda Jr (the black coos) have decided to spend their summer holidays here at Crieff Hydro, and we couldn’t be happier about it. We know what you’re thinking – imagine the confusion if they could recognise their names? Well, they can. Just give Primmy or Malda a wee shout and you’ll see the mini and mummy’s heads pop up together.
You’ll find our hairy guests making themselves at home in their very own paddock between Action Glen and our Brae and Corrie lodges. And the grassy paddock is a real treat for them as they’re used to much poorer ground. Being used to grazing on moorland hills, the sight of horses, crowds of humans and the odd Segway scooting past have been a bit of an eye opener for the girls, but their Caretaker, Tom, is sure it won’t be long until they’re making friends with the rest of our guests here.
They’re a welcome addition to our flock of animals here including our horses, giant rabbits, ducks and of course the wealth of wildlife you’ll spot around our 900-acres. They’re proving popular with our guests too, we’ve already had some brides and grooms desperate to include them in a shot or two.
Be sure to pop up and say hello to our Maldas and Primmys, you can’t miss their big horns.
